The Mockingbird Songwriter's Music Festival and The Mississippi Wildlife Heritage Festival have recently combined forces to create a truly unique and exciting event. This year's festival will also feature two other long-running Leland festivals, The "Crawfish Festival" and "Frog Fest". It's going to be a weekend filled with great music, talented songwriters, delicious food, and a celebration of Mississippi wildlife.

Steve Azar’s Mockingbird Music Series will feature intimate performances with some of Nashville’s best and most prolific award-winning songwriters, telling the stories behind their hits and performing them as originally written along with a variety of beloved local acts. From blues to folk to country, there's something for every musical taste to enjoy.

The festival is free to the public but the VIP Mockingbird Music Series ticket includes access to the Delta Group VIP tent with light food fare courtesy of Chef David Crews, cocktails, an exclusive VIP outdoor space with prime views of stage and the VIP bathroom trailer.

The Mockingbird Music Series hosted by founder Steve Azar, features intimate performances with some of Nashville’s best and prolific award-winning songwriters, telling the stories behind their hits and performing them as originally written. Music City is known for showcasing its great songwriters at such historical venues as The Bluebird Café and Puckett's Grocery among others.
Some of songwriters include James House, Wynn Varble, Mark Alan Springer, Ira Dean, Anthony Smith, Clay Mills, JT Harding, Don Sampson, Matt Warren, Bridgette Tatum, Brett Jones, Bob Regan, Tricia Walker, Kerry Kurt Phillips , Erin Enderlin and Jim “Moose” Brown who have penned songs for Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, Brad Paisley, Tanya Tucker, George Jones, Darius Rucker, Hootie and the Blowfish, Chris Stapleton, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire and many more!
